M100 wiring

Just as it says, heh. My wiring is caput, the PO did a nice job at a rats nest :roll: now I need to fix it. I have the black out lights, 3 wires on the driver, 2 on the passenger.
I've searched with no results, is there a diagram to show me how to wire it? Also, which bulb in which light serves as what light? Like, the brake, the turn, the tail, the black out... So on.
When I run wires, I still have none in my Jeep. Do I use a 5 prong or what? the 2 vehicles capable of towing have 4 prong flat wires, so I assume I would need to go to an adapter if I use an original style socket?
Any sources for the wires? Thanks!

I just used a trailer wiring kit to wire my M-416 trailers. It has the 4 prong connector. I did away with the military wiring. as for which bulbs. guss depends on which lights you have on the trailer. You can convert from 24 volt to 12 by just changing the bulds and splice in the new line and your good to go. Pics help. BEN

I have a PDF of the military manual on my site, and on page 4-9 it has the lights and which bulb is which. It also has the cable layout, but no real wiring diagram.

Yea I have an M-416 trailer that has the same Driver side light, but I havn't seen a passenger light like yours. Interesting the light don't match but doesn't make any difference. Just from a 4 prog if thats what your puller vehicle is using and just tap the new wiring into the wires coming out of the lamps. Just pick two bulbs. You will want to put in new bulbs that are 12 Volt, the original are 24 volt. BEN

Thanks Ben, they have been converted to 12 volt, but I'll defiantly want to replace them, one's stamped 9-63 :shock:

Ok, ran new 4 prong (like you said, all tow vehicles have it and the Jeep will) but there's 3 wires on the driver, 2 wires on the passenger, and then the ground. Where do all these connect to? Just pick 2 random wires on the driver and then on the passenger, how do I make sure they're not crossed? Blown fuses isn't good...

Yea something like that, the 4 prong wire are color coated. ones for the ground, ones left signal, ones right signal and last is for brakes. Check your wiring diagram. then choose two wires out of the laps and splice in. You will want to avoid the Blackout lights, their the lower W looking ones. OR you can pop out the black out piece and there will be a clear lense. Just leave yourself some slack in the wiring for mistakes and do-overs. Ben
