Trailer ID Help!

Can anyone help me identify which trailer this is or is it a homemade job? It has the jeep
(5on5.5) hubs, tailgate, wooden stake bed sides with bows, no shocks, was painted blue at one point, hitch is an old screw/fork style, welded jeep hub for spare tire mount, looks to have a jack style foot. Is it a civilian Bantam?

I've only been 'into' this trailer thing for a year or so, but it looks like a homemade to me (only because it doesn't look like any Bantams I've seen).

I can't tell you what the trailer is, but I can tell you what it is not.

It is not a WWII Willys MBT or a Bantam T3 1/4 ton trailer, nor is it a Bantam post-war T3-C. It is not a Korean War era M100 or Vietnam era M416. It is also not a Spen.

While it may be a home built trailer, there is something about it that has me thinking that it could be a modified 3/4 ton military trailer of some sort. However, I don't know anything about those and there are some features of the trailer inconsistent with military 3/4 ton trailers - like the 5 on 5 1/2 lug pattern for the wheels. My recollection is that military 3/4 ton trailers had a different lug pattern. Also bear in mind that Jeeps and early Ford pickups both used a 5 on 5 1/2 lug pattern. Hubs were different, but it's hard for me to see them in the photos.

Check this site for info on WWII and later 1/4 ton trailers built by Bantam and others.

perhaps w/ some mods done to it (added a-frame' bars to the tongue)....???

Randy, if that is a homemade, it's a nice looking one! If it's built solidly and you don't mind not having a vintage trailer, buy it!!

Let's see here...I have an original T3-C manual, ALL mfg data and files from Bantam and even some original Spen hub caps....well, none of the above. All are located in some barn somewhere just waiting to be rediscovered...

I do have a PDF of the Sears David Bradley trailers if you'd like it (or anyone else), just PM me and I will forward it. Upon trying to research the Sears 'Hiawatha' trailer (supposed T3-C rebadge) I came across that.

From my conversations w/ Sears is that all the catalog info was given to libraries across the country. The nearest one to me is 2.5 hours away, so I'll have to save that search when I have some spare time.

Thanks a ton guys! After seeing the sears David Bradley ad, that is the trailer. The dimensions are exact and it is light weight duty. Has the options stated in the ad. Now another question. Where can I find a hub? The previous owner replaced one side with a 5x4.5 lug hub, not the 5x5.5 one. Outer bearing's bore is .75" and the inner one is 1.25". I have searched on line, but they are like chicken lips.....very hard to find.
