A friend of mine has an 99% original, titled, plaque intact, 1942 Willys trailer...what should I offer him?

The subframe is straight, not horribly pitted, and fairly darn clean. The box is in solid shape, no rust holes to speak of...panels have a little wavy action going on, but nothing serious. Fenders are slightly dinged up, but nothing a hack body man couldn't knock out. Pulls down the road nice. Bearings freshly packed....hell, the brakes even work. Up until about 10 years ago it still wore the OD paint, since then it has been flat black, but the OD is starting to show through...sooooo...

Any ballpark estimations? Don't have much experience in this dept, what do ya think?

Heh, offer him a six pack to get it out of his way..:D

Tried that, and a cigar to boot...but I tipped my hand a little. He has the matching 42 Willys to go with it, after pouring over it for awhile and talking far too much...he then decided to show me the trailer...he had to be able to tell from my interest that it was more than "average"...lol

Neither of us are trialer guys, so it's at the "hell, just give me what ya think it's worth" point.

$10. So where exactly does this buddy live? Does he have a home phone number? R)

very hard to "guestimate" w/o pics
if it's what you say it is, $500-$750 range
in my opinion

I appreciate any help, didn't want to let this one slip away, but don't wanna rip the guy off in the same stroke.

I think JP nailed the going price ranges. Some may go a bit higher if exceptional shape.

I was leaning in that direction for the price, but like I said, I'm new to the trialer aspect of all this...Thanks alot for the help.
