I read a Jeep ad on Ebay that said you could switch to 4 wheel drive at any speed. I had no idea the Dana 20 was capable of shift on the fly. I thought shift on the fly transfer cases came out much later than the 60's.

Well, you can provided your hubs are locked or you have non locking, direct drive hubs. I've never tried it myself cause I've always run Warn Loc-O-Matics. All things being equal, such as tire size, vehicle going straight, the rear diff not losing traction, etc, the front diff and drive shaft will be turning the same speed as the rear diff and the TC gears will be running the same speed also.
