A while back i was looking to find a shift knob with the correct T90 shift pattern, well i think i have found one. I was looking at a Jeg's catalog yesteraday and they had a shift knob with multiple patterns and one was the T90 pattern. Unfortunately the knob was white. So I am not going to get it, but i thought i would pass it along to you guys who might want one. It is in the catalog near the Hurst shifter parts.

Let me add two other parts that I didn't think I could find easliy.
Gas cap - went to Napa and the guy looked it up the book and walked out with the exact one I needed.
Breather - I needed something pretty low profile, and was looking at Auto Zone. They had a cool looking Edelbrock, but it had a 5 1/8" opening. I noticed on the back that it listed the 2 5/8" like I needed for the 2G. They didn't have that one on the shelf, so I went and asked if they could order it. Sure enough!
PN 1003 - 26.99 (It's the triangular one with the wire mesh)

I was looking at one of those. I didn't know they would fit the 2g. Hmm. That one sez $16.95. I guess they're after us little guys.

That one is actually the 5 1/8". Not sure if that's why it's cheaper, but we can't use it.
I was very surprised that neither Jegs nor Summit offered the 2 5/8", yet Auto Zone could order it.
Also, by the time you pay shipping and handling charges, it would be about the same price anyway.

What does it use for an element? I had one with a motor once and i took it off. it had the wire mesh and some flismy piece of foam under it. i couldnt see how it would keep junk out of the engine :(

I think it uses a washable element.

The foam is the element.

Tim: Jegs has a K&N for the 2G that is 14" in dia. and 4" thick. Talk about filter area! :) Tain't cheap though. :( I use a 7 1/2 or 8" X 2 1/4 K&N. You can also find it in Jegs. :) :)

The only problem I run into is that I don't have very much room at all between the top of the carb and the hood. That's why I think the Edelbrock will work - it's pretty low profile.
I'd love to run a K&N like you describe, but I believe I'd have to cut the motor mounts loose and drop the engine down about an inch or two.

I have yet to lay eyes on that K&N A/C with a 2-5/8" neck much less get a part # for it. I wonder if it is just adapted from a 4" neck. . .

PO put it on and it is listed in the Jegs cataloge. PN for the K&N is: E-2813. Only problem is that it is not a common filter and it cost more than the BIG one on my Yukon! I know, I just purchased one as a spare to rotate them. Maybe someday I'll put the $150.00 K&N 14x4 on it--if I don't have anything else to spend money on!! ;) ;) That'll be the day!! :) :)

Tim, I ran one of those Edelbrock Pro-Flow air cleaners on my v8 Duster about 17 years ago, they are good air cleaners and very low profile, the washability of them is great . I think you would be happy with it on your Jeep. Not quite as good as a K&N but also not as expensive.

James: click on the pic in the album, and then highlight the address, and copy it. Go into "post reply" and paste it. Highlight what you've pasted and click "IMG" (Image). That button will put IMG tags on each end, and the pic'll show in text.

Timmayyy, I know what you mean about trying to find the smaller diameter cleaner hole. This pic has the smaller 2+" hole. I bought the AutoZone round Edelbrock filter, but the Edel had the larger opening. So I just reused the bottom metal part of this old one. I'd have ordered the right one like you did if i had my wits about me. But...when do I? :D

You can get the adapter they make. it is a cheesy plastic thing that mounts on top to a 4 inch 4bbl, and teh oter side will fit on a rochester. I used it to fit a stock 4BBL aircleaner on my Rochester. not too bad. but i busted my adapter a bit ago, it was kind of flimsy, but worked.

Dude... welding sunburn really sucks. you will really itch from it. I have been "sunburned" from the sun and never itched as bad as from a welder.

JEGS is a little pricey, I got the carbon APC model and it was $9.00 at autozone it lists for 16.99 in JEGS.

I made a replacement out of some exhaust pipe and scrap sheet metal.
