Let’s Go – Dedicated to all Earlycj5.com Members
I think this is a first, we’ve had a forum member, Smokinidahoin (Matt DuCharme) write a song dedicated to us.
Forum member Uncle Bill is mentioned specifically, along with his Jeep “The Slug”.
Enjoy!
Merry Christmas, if a Bit Late, Jeep History Fanatics!
Recently on E-bay a Blue 1970 Renegade I was sold. From all indications it’s genuine, the wiring harness was spotted by Beeser, the toolbox is blue inside, and the VIN sticker on the dash is peeling revealing blue paint.
The Renegade webpage has been updated with pictures and information about the now four colors of Renegade I CJ-5s that we know of.
Technical Section Updates
Posted by Sparky in EarlyCJ5 Technical, Site News on 2 October, 2009
I’ve been remiss in doing this, but I’ve updated the links from the Technical Library page here.
All of the links should now work and point to the appropriate page along with links in the drop down menu. But I understand if you prefer the page.

Steering articles
Posted by Sparky in EarlyCJ5 Technical, Site News on 31 August, 2009
I got a good start on the steering articles this weekend. There’s one left that needs to be restored. The Saginaw steering article with Mcruff’s diagrams is awaiting image uploads. I’ll try to get that done as soon as I can.
Engines are underway and more technical section info restored
Panzer and I have been working to get articles restored, we’ve started to restore the engines section of the tech library.
More to be posted soon I hope.
More content added to Body and Frame Section
I’ve added the general FAQ for the Body and Frame section along with the Windshield comparison and Rotisserie articles.
Brakes Section is fully restored
All of the articles for the brakes portion of the tech library are now restored.
The work continues
Much of it is behind the scenes so you might not be aware of all that we’re doing. However you might notice a new tab on the page, “Classifieds”. We’re working on it!
For now please login to our forums and post your classifieds in our temporary classifieds.
